Description

The Rocket™5ac Lite is ideal for deployment in Point-to‑Point (PtP) applications requiring maximum performance and Point‑to‑MultiPoint (PtMP)

You have the freedom to locate, deploy, and operate the Rocket5ac Lite anywhere in the world. It allows for a high degree of flexibility in configuring channel bandwidths: 20, 40, 50, 60, and/or 80 MHz, depending on local country regulations.

The Rocket5ac Lite radio can be paired with a RocketDish™ antenna to create the endpoint of a high-performance, Point-to-Point (PtP) backhaul.

Key Features:

Up to 450Mbps with 802.11ac MCS-9 (256QAM, 5/6 coding)
Up to 500mW output power (27dBm)
10/100/GigEth RJ-45 Input
2x RP-SMA Female antenna connections
Radio only (external antenna required)
24VDC POE Injector (Passive) & 240V AC Adaptor included.

Usage:

Introducing the next step for the Ubiquiti Rocket series
The Rocket M5-AC now sports a gigabit Ethernet connection permitting cabled data rates in excess of the previous 100Mbps fast-eth limitation
With the advent of the 802.11ac standard, Rocket-AC can modulate at 256QAM, permitting PHY rates of up to 450Mbps on a 50MHz channel
Numerous chipset improvements have also been included, resulting in reduced TDMA latency and performance in noisy RF environments
With version 7.1.1 being released the Rocket AC-Lite can now operate in Point to Multi-Point. The next-generation airMAX ac technology boosts the advantages of Ubiquiti's proprietary TDMA protocol
Ubiquiti’s airMAX engine with custom IC dramatically improves TDMA latency and network scalability
The custom silicon provides hardware acceleration capabilities to the airMAX scheduler, to support the high data rates and dense modulation used in airMAX ac technology.

High Speed Network Sharing

This is a transparent data-link layer bridge, not a routed bridge - this means that you are creating a virtual ethernet cable between the two facilities, making network setup incredibly simple - no routing configuration, all protocols (DHCP, DNS, etc) just work
Management of the Ubiquiti device couldn't be easier with SSH and SNMP protocol support, as well as a very intuitive HTTP interface
The units are powered via Power over Ethernet (PoE) - simply plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Rocket, and the other into the PoE Injector (which is plugged into AC power)
This allows one cable to both power the unit and also carry network traffic.
